St. Joseph County CTE Students Highly Successful in CTSO Competitions

Students enrolled in St. Joseph County Career & Technical Education Consortium programs have gotten off to a great start in regional competitions in Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSO).

In the Medical Occupations program, 24 juniors and seniors participated in the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) contest, with 20 students earning a top-ten finish and qualifying for the state competition in Traverse City in April.

FFA students in the Agriscience program competed at districts with several students placing first and second, qualifying for regional competition on February 16th.

CTE students in the Three Rivers Marketing program set a new record at DECA Districts in January, bringing home 87 medals and surpassing last year’s record of 70! ┬áThirty-two individuals qualified for DECA State competition in Detroit on March 10-12.

Business Professionals of America (BPA) held their Regional Leadership competition in January, where 31 students in the Computer Information Technologies program earned top honors and qualified for the State Leadership competition in March.

Several welding students enrolled in the Constantine program will be competing at SkillsUSA on February 24th.
